SCSP vs BAA Match Preview
Kat Sciver-Brunt has put up an excellent all-round performance for the Sapphires so far, scoring 102 runs and picking up 5 wickets. However, she has received little support from the other players. The top-order batters, including Gaby Lewis, Katie Mack, and Babette De Leede have failed to get going so far and the team will be hoping for a better performance from them going forward.
It is a similar story with the bowling too. Skipper Sana Mir has got just 3 wickets in 4 matches, while offspinner Erin Burns has managed to get just 2. Shabnim Ismail, who had a good time in the recently concluded Women’s T20 World Cup, has claimed just 1 wicket here in 4 matches.
Lauren Winfield-Hill has led her team from the front and is the leading run-scorer for her team as well as in the tournament. In addition to Hill, the team has two powerful strikers of the ball in the top order viz. Laura Wolvaardt and Deandra Dottin, and the team will be banking on them to score some quick runs in this match. \
Shemaine Campbelle will once again play the role of a finisher. Rumana Ahmed has done a brilliant job with the ball, picking up 6 wickets with a miserly economy rate of 5.83. She, along with Kavisha Egodage will be looking to bowl a tight line and length during the middle overs.
The weather is expected to remain cloudy with temperatures of around 25 degrees Celsius.
The pitch at the Kowloon Cricket Club is well-balanced, providing equal opportunities to the batters as well as the bowlers. Anything over 150 runs will be difficult to chase here.
Rumana Ahmed's all-round performance
Rumana Ahmed has been a consistent performer for Bangladesh with both, the bat as well as the ball. She has picked up 75 wickets so far and has also scored 854 runs.
There are no updates regarding injuries from either side.
