LQ vs KK Match Preview
Fakhar Zaman seems to be peaking in form just at the right time for the Lahore Qalandars as he scored a brilliant century in their last fixture. With the presence of power hitters like Sam Billings, Sikandar Raza, and Abdullah Shafique, the Qalandars have a strong batting line-up that is capable of producing big scores at will.
The team also has some quality all-rounders in the form of Rashid Khan, Hussain Talat, and David Weise, who add a lot of depth to the batting. The bowling has been equally good for the Qalandars this season. Led by speedster Shaheen Afridi, the team has a strong pace attack consisting of full-time seamers Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan.
Rashid Khan has been indomitable during the middle overs, building pressure on the opposition by drying their runs.
Captain Imad Wasim has been the standout player for the Karachi Kings this season as he has brilliantly showcased his all-round abilities. Wasim has scored 3 half-centuries in his 9 innings so far and is the leading run-getter for his team with 359 runs. He has also bowled well to pick up 7 wickets so far.
Shoaib Malik played well at the start of the season but hasn’t been able to carry on with his form, while the likes of Tahir Tayyab, Qasim Amir, and James Fuller have failed to get going. The Karachi Kings will be hoping that Matthew Wade and Adam Rossington give them a good start here.
Tabraiz Shamsi made a late entry into the squad but has bowled well to pick up 7 wickets in 4 matches. However, he is the only full-time spinner in the team and the Karachi Kings will be dependent on their seamers, Mohammad Amir, Aamer Yamin, and Mohammad Musa to pick up early wickets for them.
The weather is expected to remain overcast with temperatures remaining in the mid-20s.
The surface at the Gaddafi Stadium is excellent to bat on thanks to the consistent bounce that the pitch offers. The average first-inning score here is around 180 which can be considered to be a par score. However, the teams batting first will be hoping to score over 200 here. There is little help for the bowlers here and there is no room for error in terms of line and length.
Fakhar Zaman’s Excellent Strike Rate
Fakhar Zaman has been a consistent performer in the PSL and has carried on with his form in the current season too. In the last 10 matches, Zaman has scored 368 runs at a blistering strike rate of 170.37.
There are no updates regarding injuries from either side.

We are backing the Lahore Qalandars to win this match. They were defeated by the Kings in the reverse fixture earlier this season but the Qalandars have come a long way since then, showing some exceedingly good form over the past few weeks. The Kings have struggled in most games and we expect them to continue doing the same here.
Sikandar Raza: Sikandar Raza is a complete all-rounder who is capable of scoring quick runs lower down the order and can also pick up some wickets during the middle overs. He has scored 3321 runs in T20s and has also picked up 87 wickets.
Shaheen Afridi: Shaheen Afridi is the top bowler in the Qalandars pace line-up and has picked up 14 wickets in 9 matches. He also displayed his batting abilities earlier this week, scoring a rapid half-century against Peshawar.
Rashid Khan: Rashid Khan is the leading wicket-taker for the Qalandars with 15 wickets in 7 matches. He is also a capable all-rounder and can hit some lofty shots lower down the order.
