IND vs ENG Match Preview

Three out of India's top-4 batters are in great form. KL Rahul starts slow but then accelerates rapidly. Virat Kohli is making the most of the big grounds with his quick running and conventional shots, and SKY is redefining what T20 batting is all about.

Arshdeep and Buvneshwar Kumar have been picking up early wickets in most matches. This is very high value and with some beneficial matchups in the match against England, both these players could get an extended spell with the new ball. Mohammad Shami as the enforcer in the middle is worth considering also.

The list of match winners in the English lineup is not small. Jos Buttler, Alex Hales (both in good form), Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone (enforcers with the bat), and Mark Wood (fastest bowler in the tournament) can all turn the match on its head.

We think Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, and Sam Curran are three players that you must consider for your Dream11 lineup. We think these players will find themselves in key positions during the match.

Weather Report

The weather forecast for Adelaide is excellent on match day. There is a bit of rain forecast on Wednesday but the outlook for Thursday is very good.

Pitch Report

Reports suggest that a used surface is likely for this match. That will bring the spinners into play and certainly play into the hands of the Indians. Overall, though, we still expect a good batting surface where something around 170 should be par.

Notable stats

Virat Kohli vs Moeen Ali

We know just how good Virat Kohli has been this season. One bowler that he could be a bit wary of is Moeen Ali. He has faced 11 deliveries in T20 internationals against Ali, scored 22 runs and got out once. In the IPL, Kohli has faced seven deliveries from Ali, scored four runs and got out once.

Team News

News emerging from the English camp suggests that Dawid Malan may not be fit in time for the match against India. England could add Phil Salt to its lineup, an excellent attacking option that could bat at three or England could add Tymal Mills to their lineup. Mills has a great record in Australia, bowls the hard lengths, and England still has plenty of batting options to cover the loss of Malan.

Dream11 Prediction

We think this match will be very close but India could emerge victorious in the end. It has a team that seems to have the main players in good form and a clear role assigned to each one. England, despite being a powerhouse on paper has not played that way.

India should be able to just get past a dangerous English side.

Top Picks

Suryakumar Yadav - SKY, as he is popularly known, is currently playing T20 cricket which is at a level far above everyone else. He is scoring runs consistently and at a strike rate that is insane. He accesses all 360 degrees of the ground and loves the big stage.

Jos Buttler - Every Indian player knows what Buttler is capable of. He has dominated the IPL for quite a few years now and knows every trick that the Indians have. At the opening position, Buttler is perfectly placed to take the attack to India.

Arshdeep Singh - The left-arm pacer has been brilliant with the new ball and often gets entrusted to do the job at the death. He could be a useful differentiator in your Dream11 team.
