Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka has been remarkably resourceful in Asia Cup 2022. Its batters have approached their innings with intent and attacked from the very start. Players like Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, and Danushk Gunathilaka have managed to give Sri Lanka good starts while Dasun Shanaka has been brilliant in the middle overs.
This is not a batting lineup that you want to look down upon.
The key for Sri Lanka will be getting its bowling correct. It gave up 180 runs against Bangladesh and also went for runs against Afghanistan and India. The fact that it managed to win all three of those games has to do with the batting. Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana will be the key to Sri Lanka's fortunes.

Pakistan
Pakistan may choose to rest Mohammad Rizwan for this match. Nothing is confirmed, though, that does seem likely at this point. If he in fact does not play then the Pakistani batting will go through a shakeup. Babar is out of form but he is still a class act and can always come back into form. There will be some pressure on him and Fakhar Zaman.
Also, the Pakistani middle-order has still not been tested by having to come in early. We saw how Afghanistan was able to put Pakistan's batting under a lot of pressure and Sri Lanka also has a few quality spinners to be wary of.
Pakistan's fast bowling is stellar even without Shaheen Shah Afridi but it has gone for runs in this tournament. Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan are going to be the biggest threats against Sri Lanka.
All things considered, we don't think the odds being offered for Pakistan are justified.

The conditions in Dubai will be good for batting. The pitch has held up remarkably so far and even though it has been used on all days, the surface has not got noticeably slower. A score of around 175 batting first is the minimum teams will aim for but we don't think they will be comfortable with anything less than 185.

The Sri Lankan top order has been excellent in recent matches. Pathum Nissanka and Jusal Mendis have shown the ability to take advantage of the field restrictions and we think they are definitely going to try to do the same once more. The Over/Under line and the odds are both favorable.
It is strange to see the most consistent batter in T20 cricket go through a slump but we are going to try and profit off of it. Babar has not scored runs in any of the matches and we think a small bet against him definitely makes sense at this point in time. The Over/Under line is quite high because of his reputation and so betting Under seems the way to go.
