Sri Lanka and Pakistan will face each other in the 5th place playoff in the U19 World Cup 2022. Both teams would be disappointed at not being in the Super League competing for the title but they have not one to blame but themselves.
Sri Lanka lost its quarter-final to Afghanistan in a shock upset while Pakistan was completely outplayed by Australia.
Both teams have lost just one match in the tournament so far. The cricket betting sites have Pakistan as a slight favorite to win this match.

SL-U19 vs PAK-U19 Team Previews
Sri Lanka U19
Sri Lanka won a fine match against South Africa to have a chance to compete for 5th place in this match against Pakistan. That match was won due to a brilliant century by Dunith Wellage, the Sri Lankan captain who has been inspirational in this tournament.
Wellage has won at least a couple of matches for Sri Lanka on his own. He has scored the most runs and also taken the most wickets for Sri Lanka in this tournament. There have been some good performances from a couple of other players like Wickramasinghe, Daniel, and Liyange but it is clear that it is Wellage that has to lead from the front.
The question then remains if Sri Lanka will be able to compete against Pakistan if Dunith Wellage has a bad day. We don't think that will happen.
Sri Lanka's top order is weak and has been bailed out by its lower order on a number of occasions already. As far as the bowling goes, the spinners are going to be the biggest threat led by Wellage. Pathirana was believed to be one of the young superstars of Sri Lankan cricket but his performances have not stood up to the hype.

Pawan Pathiraja, Chamindu Wickramasinghe, Shevon Daniel, Dunith Wellalage, Raveen De Silva, Sadisha Rajapaksa, Ranuda Somarathne, Anjala Bandara, Vinuja Rampo, Matheesha Pathirana, Traveen Mathews.
Pakistan lost just one match against Australia in the quarter-final so far in the U19 World Cup 2022. It has been quite impressive in the rest of the matches that it has played and we think it deserves the stage of favorite to win against Sri Lanka.
Haseebullah Khan and Qasim Akram are the two players that stand out in the batting department. Both of them have shown an ability to perform under pressure and to be able to convert their starts into big scores. The rest of the batting is not very strong but we don't think they are going to worry too much about the spin heavy bowling attack of the Sri Lankans.
Awais Ali is the undisputed leader of this Pakistani bowling attack. We think he is another one in the long line of world-class fast bowlers from Pakistan. Zeeshan Zameer and Mehram Mumtaz are also good bowlers. They should all fancy themselves against the fragile Sri Lankan batting lineup.

Pitch and Conditions
The conditions in Antigua are expected to be quite good for cricket. The pitch has been flat and good for batting so far and will continue to be the same. There is a lack of pace but both teams are used to playing in such conditions and will not be bothered by that.
A score of around 250 is the least that teams batting first will be aiming for.
SL-U19 vs PAK-U19 Betting Tips
We are going to bet on Pakistan U19 to win this match. We think it is a better team than Sri Lanka in terms of batting depth and its bowling lineup. Dunith Wellage is the one world-class player that can put up a fight but depending on just one player is not something we like.
Bet on Pakistan U19 to win.
