Scorchers Women

With yet another fantastic win in the previous match, Scorchers Women not only gained an unassailable lead in the series but also sealed it. They are now leading the series 4-1 and will be looking to close with the scoreline reading 5-1. They have improved as the series has progressed and even though there is practically nothing on the line in the upcoming match, they will not want to be complacent.

The Scorchers were terrific in the previous match as skipper Gaby Lewis contributed with a match-defining century followed by a remarkable show from the bowlers. They eventually won the match by a wide margin of 140 runs.

In the tournament so far, Gaby Lewis has undoubtedly been their mainstay. She has added 276 runs to her tally in this series with those runs coming at an average of 69. Apart from her, a lot will depend on Leah Paul, who has been superb with the ball. She has picked up eight wickets in the series at a sparkling economy of 4.42.

All in all, Scorchers have the momentum and team on paper. Besides, they have experience running right through their lineup and would want to close the series with yet another win. If they do not happen to be complacent, beating them will be a tough task.

Typhoons Women

Typhoons Women will be a tad disappointed with the show they have put in the series so far. They didn't really had a team as bad as the results and the scoreline shows. Having said that, it's all done and dusted and they'll want to focus on the last remaining of the series.

With a win in one of the matches in the first half of the series, the Typhoons looked like bouncing back but could not do so. Their confidence or lack thereof was apparent in the previous match as well wherein they were hammered in all three facets of the game.

On paper, the Typhoons appear to be a little too over-reliant on Rachel Delany, Louise Little, and Orla Prendergast and none of them have fired consistently up until now. Delany and Prendergast are arguably their two players, on whom the result of this match will depend. If they both are able to fire, there's not much the Scorchers will be able to do.
