NOS vs SOB Match Prediction - Aug 31, 2022

We are down to the last day in the Men's edition of The Hundred Competition 2022 and things couldn't have been tighter. Trent Rockets are certain to be table toppers now with London Spirit becoming the second team to qualify. The third team to qualify will be decided by the last league match, which is to be played between Manchester Originals and Oval Invincibles.

The Invincibles and the Originals are placed neck and neck on the ladder but all that has happened will be of little consequence when they take on each other here in this match. The winner of this match will sail through to the eliminator whereas it would be the end of the tourney for the losing team. Both sides are expected to come out hard at each other and a feast of a contest is certainly on the cards here.

However, we are discussing another match that is practically a dead-rubber. Northern Superchargers are set to take on Southern Brave in a match that will have no impact whatsoever on the qualification scenarios. The match between the two sides is to be played at the Headingley Cricket Ground, Leeds on 31st August 2022.

NOS vs SOB Team Previews

Northern Superchargers

Southern Brave got off to a terrible start to the competition, losing most of their matches in the first half but then did a fantastic task to get into the reckoning. However, despite winning both of their last two matches, they no longer stand a chance to qualify for the playoffs largely because of how they have played in their first few matches.

As it currently stands on the points table, Southern Brave are placed at the seventh spot with six points to their name and a net run-rate of -0.556. A win here will likely push them above Northern Superchargers but that won't really matter anyway. They are already out of the equation but they would still want to finish their campaign on a high. They are coming into this match on the back of a couple of back to back wins and will be brimming with confidence. If they are able to play to their potential here, getting past them could prove to be incredibly difficult.

Southern Brave

Just like Southern Braves, Northern Superchargers got off to a rather poor start but once they got into the rhythm, they looked difficult to stop. They are coming into this match on the back of a superb win over Welsh Fire and will be keen to add another win to their name.

They are right above Southern Brave on the ladder, at the sixth spot. They too have six points to their name and are separated only on net run-rate. That said, it isn't really going to matter as a win here too will not be enough to take them through to the next round. Loaded with experienced all-rounders in David Wiese and David Willey, Northern Superchargers have an excellent side and will not be easy to deal with if they manage to play to their potential.

NOS vs SOB Betting Tips

Needless to say, this is not the most important match with the playoff spot already out of the equation but both sides would still want to register a win here. Both sides would want to finish their campaign on a high and the team that deals with pressure better will likely come out on top. Considering how the two sides have played recently, Northern Superchargers look ahead. On paper though, they have a slightly better side, especially with their all-rounders doing well. Considering that and the odds on offer, we are placing our bets on the Northern Superchargers win and so should you. Back Northern Superchargers to win here.
