The second semi-final of the Momentum ODI 2020-21 League is going to be played between the Lions and the Knights. Perhaps the biggest impediment that we have going into this match is the weather! The forecast is not good and rain continues to hover around Potchefstroom.
Hopefully, we will be able to get cricket to decide which team goes to the final just as we did in the first semi-final.
The Lions come into this match with three wins from four games while the Knights come into this match having played just one out of its scheduled four matches. Incidentally, that was also a match that it lost!

LIO vs KTS Team Previews
Lions
The Lions have a very decent batting lineup led by Reeza Hendricks. Unfortunately, Reeza Hendricks is not going to be available for this match as he is a part of the T20 squad to Pakistan.
Dominic Hendricks is going to have to play the role of the senior batsman now and try to get the bulk of the runs. There are some other decent batsmen in the side as well but Mitchell Van Buuren, Nicky van Bergh, and Kagiso Rapulana are not going to terrify any of the opposition bowlers.
Maybe it is time for one of them to shine with a brilliant knock but we think the Lions will take a solid more team-oriented approach from all of them.
Bjorn Fortuin is another bowler that is going to be missing because of international duty. His absence, in what could be a low-scoring match, is a big blow.
Hawken, Bokako, Pongolo, and Diseko will have to shoulder the brunt of the responsibility now.

Khulna Titans
Virtually none of the Knights players are going to be missing for this match. That can be seen as a good thing because it is not going to upset the balance but it can also be seen as a bad thing because their players are just not good enough!
The Knights have played just one match and lost that. That is too small a sample size to come to any conclusions about them.
In our opinion, players like Farhaan Behardien, Patrick Kruger, and Jacques Snyman cannot be counted out. The loss of Pite van Biljoen to the international series is a big one if you consider the Knights did not have too many batting resources, to begin with.
The bowling is going to be led by Ferisco Adams, Budaza, Shaun von Bergh, and Snyman.
They also have a number of all-rounders that can chip in.
While this bowling attack is not the greatest, we think the Knights will fancy themselves against an underpowered Lions team. The absence of a few key players will end up making this game a lot closer than it otherwise would have been.

Rain has been following the Knights for the past few weeks and it looks like there is more of the same in store for this match. We will have to be quite lucky to be able to get enough overs in that the match can be decided on the field.
If we do get some play, expect a low scoring match where the par score is around 220 batting first.
