HS vs PG Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Dec 14, 2019

We are down to the final day in the Qatar T10 League and the semifinalists are more or less settled. Three teams at the bottom of the points table, Flying Onyx, Heat Stormers, and Pearl Gladiators, will be fighting it out for the only available playoff spot. While a win will be enough for Flying Onyx in their match against Swift Gallopers, a loss for Onyx will shift the focus to the match between Heat Stormers and Pearl Gladiators. The match between those two sides will be played on 15th December at West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha. The two teams are placed at the bottom of the table and we expect an enthralling contest between the two.
HS vs PG Team Previews
Heat Stormers
Heat Stormers have been one of the worst teams in the tournament so far and the upcoming match would be a chance for them not only to avoid the wooden spoon, but also reserve a spot in the semifinals. They have played four matches so far and have failed to get even one win under their belt.
After two dismal performances in all three departments of the game, Heat Stormers finally got their batting alright, but their bowling failed to defend even a towering total of 134. Batting first, the Stormers looked determined right from the word go as Sikandar Raza and Satvir Singh came out all guns blazing. They lost Satvir Singh in the fourth over, but Scott Edwards took over brilliantly as he smashed 26 off 11 deliveries.
More often than not, a score of 134 in the first innings will fetch an easy win, not for the Stormers, though. All of their bowlers were hammered all around the part with no exception. So poor was their bowling display that the lowest economy rate was of Satvir Singh, of 12.50. All in all, Heat Stormers have got their batting going alright, and if their bowlers can fire against the Gladiators, they will be a force to deal with.
Heat Stormers Playing 11
AR Berenger, Imraz Rafi, Talal Khan, Satvir Singh, Batin Shah, Scott Edwards, Sikandar Raza, Fazal Zazai, Gayan Munaweera, Raja Amir, Owais Ahmed.
Pearl Gladiators
The Gladiators have undoubtedly been the worst side of the tournament. Not only have they failed to win even once, they have lost all their matches by considerably big margins. Just as the Heat Stormers have, the Gladiators have played four matches and are still searching for their first win.
In their previous match, the Gladiators failed to chase down a realtively tall total set by Falcon Hunters. Mehran Khan, who gave away just 13 runs in his two overs, was brilliant but the rest of the bowlers conceded 105 runs in eight overs combined.
Chasing the total of 118 needed a colossal effort from their batsmen and they failed to do that. Mukhtar Ahmed was dismissed without doing much and so did their other opener, Mehran Khan. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and failed to match the required run-rate. Adnan Ilyas, who came in to bat at number eight, happened to be their best batsmen with a score of 20 coming in just 8 deliveries. In the tournament on the whole, the Gladiators have been dismal, to say the least, and would need a miraculous performance to pull off a win on Saturday.
Pearl Gladiators Playing 11
Karim Sadiq, Saqlain Arshad, Sohaib Maqsood, Adnan Ilyas, Mukhtar Ahmed, Uzair Amir, Faisal Javed, Philip Joseph, Mehran Khan, Mohammad Sami, Mohammed Nadeem.

HS vs PG Betting Tips
Should the Onyx lose their only remaining fixture, this match will turn out to be of significant importance. Otherwise, the match will be important in determing who gets the wooden spoon as the losing team will end up on the floor of the points table. Considering how the two teams have done in the tournament so far, there's is little to separate the two sides. Having said that, Heat Stormers showed signs of brilliance with the bat in their previous encounter and that puts them ahead of the two sides, only marginally, though. Additionally, they are a better-balanced side, at least on paper. For those reasons, we think that the Gladiators are better placed to emerge on top in the last league game of the tournament.
