T20 Mumbai 2019 has been an extremely well-contested tournament so far and we now have our four semi-finalists for the final stages of the tournament. The first semi-final of T20 Mumbai 2019 is going to be played between ARCS Andheri and North Mumbai Panthers.
Both teams have played excellent cricket this year and deserve their place in the semi-finals. Interestingly, the North Mumbai Panthers topped group A with three wins from their five matches while ARCS Andheri came second in Group B with four wins from their five matches.
Comprehensive victories for both the teams in their last group matches would have put them in a good frame of mind for the semi-finals. It is now going to be a case of handling the pressure of the big stage and continuing to play freely.

ARCS Andheri
ARCS Andheri has been quite resilient in T20 Mumbai and continued to surprise the other teams. Their batting has been led by Akhil Herwadkar and SHubham Ranjane, both of whom have three fifties between them.
Herwadkar with 162 runs at a strike rate of 123.66 has been more consistent but we would argue that Ranjane with 146 runs at a strike rate of 139.04 has been more impactful. The reliance of the ARCS Andheri on these two players to score the bulk of the runs is obvious.
Thankfully for ARCS Andheri, Kevin Almeida and Iqbal Abdulla scored fifties in their last group match to give a much better look to their batting lineup. Sufiyan Sheikh and Praful Waghela can play but the ARCS Andheri don’t want to be in a situation where either of those two players has to play more than a few deliveries.
After a tough start to T20 Mumbai 2019, Iqbal Abdulla is now the leading wicket-taker for his side with six wickets. He is going to lead the bowling alongside Tushar Deshpande and Azhar Ansari.
Shubham Ranjane is available part of the bowling attack as well and can be expected to bowl at least a couple of overs in every match. The real strength of ARCS Andheri has been its all-rounders who allow the side plenty of flexibility and options.
There is a glaring lack of depth in the ARCS Andheri side in both the batting and bowling department but the team has so far managed to rise above that.

North Mumbai Panthers
The North Mumbai Panthers were rated as one of the strongest teams before the beginning of T20 Mumbai and they have proved worthy of such an appraisal. The side has one of the best batting lineups of the tournament led by Prithvi Shaw.
Shaw may be the biggest name in the side but he is not the leading runs scorer. In fact, there are three other players who have scored more runs than Shaw and this shows the depth in the batting available.
Vikrant Auti, Sairaj Patil, Karan Nande, and Prithvi Shaw have all made over 100 runs in this season of T20 Mumbai. Atif Attarwala and Vishal Dhagaonkar have also shown glimpses of batting talent but nothing really to crow about.
It is clear that Prithvi Shaw is going to be the biggest threat in this match. He is an India international player that has played fantastic innings at the biggest stage and smashed some of the best bowlers in the world around.
Can he get himself motivated for this match? We think he can and will be one to watch out for.
The bowling for the North Mumbai Panthers has been a bit underwhelming. Pravin Tambe was supposed to be the leader of the pack with his experience of bowling leg-spin in the IPL and a lot of first-class matches.
His season has not gone very well and he has picked up just three wickets so far. Atif Attarwala with 8 wickets is the leading wicket-taker followed by Rahul Sawant with 6 and Prathamesh Dake with 4.
The North Mumbai Panthers will be a bit relieved that they are up against the ARCS Andheri, a side whose batting is not very deep. A couple of early wickets and we can see this bowling lineup apply the pressure on the ARCS Andheri till the very end.

Pitch and Conditions
ARCS Andheri vs North Mumbai Panthers, 1st semi-final, T20 Mumbai 2019 is going to be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. There is no threat of rain predicted on match day and even though the humidity is going to be high, we are not going to have any interruptions to the game.
The pitch for the Wankhede has become significantly slower than what we saw at the beginning of T20 Mumbai 2019. The bounce is going to be low and making the most of the new ball is going to be important.
We think that the par score is going to be around 150 for this match.
ARCA vs NMP Dream11 Prediction
The Dream 11 team for the 1st semi-final T20 Mumbai 2019 was a bit tricky to make. There is a lack of bowlers and most of the work is being done by all-rounders, which we are limited to three of until the new Dream11 rules come into play. Here is what we have come up with.
Wicketkeeper: We had the choice between Swapnil Salvi and Sufiyan Sheikh in this category. We have opted for Swapnil Salvi because he bats higher up the order. There is not enough difference in their batting ability to justify the higher points for Sheikh either.
Batsmen: We have picked Prithvi Shaw, Vishal Dhagaonkar, Akhil Herwadkar, and Kevin Almeida in our team. Three out of the four picked are obvious choices. Prithvi Shaw is the biggest match winner in the entire lot of players available and not having him could be very costly. Kevin Almeida contributes with the ball as well while Akhil Herwadkar has been in excellent form. We had to leave out Vikram Auti because of points constraint and have instead gone for Vishal Dhagaonkar who bats in the middle order.
All-rounders: There are many options available in this category and we could not have all of them in the side. We have chosen SHubham Ranjane, Atif Attarwala, and Iqbal Abdulla as our three players. Abdulla was promoted up the order and scored some valuable runs to compliment his improved bowling in the recent matches. Shubham Ranjane is one of the leading batsmen for ARCS Andheri while Atif Attarwala is one of the main bowlers for the North Mumbai Panthers.
Bowlers: We have picked Rahul Sawant, Tushar Deshpande, and Vineet Sinha as our three bowlers. All three of them have decently without being a standout but the fast bowlers are not the ones that are going to rack up many points for the side. We have focused on players that will bowl in the crucial times and have a good chance of picking up wickets.
Captain and Vice-Captain: We have picked Prithvi Shaw as captain and Shubham Ranjane as vice-captain for this match.
