Trustworthiness

BetBarter is licensed in Curacao through Sky Infotech N.V. That is their only license, though BetBarter promises to deliver a secure gambling environment and that they adhere to all regulations applicable. They also want to provide their gambling services in a “credible and responsible way”, which we will just have to take their word for.

They provide secure SSL encryption to keep your data safe on their website and they have measures in place to help their customers gamble responsibly.

It’s difficult to judge just how trustworthy BetBarter ultimately is, but we have no found major complaints about them online, so that’s good news. With smaller betting sites such as this one we do generally recommend that you make smaller deposits, don’t claim the full welcome bonus and try out a few smaller withdrawals at first. Test the site thoroughly before fully committing here.

Cricket betting and other sports

We get an interesting sportsbook at BetBarter, where the available sports you can bet on aren’t listed on the left-hand side, which is customary for most sportsbooks. Instead, we get a secondary menu at the top of the screen, where all sports are displayed. Priority is given to cricket, soccer, tennis and basketball, followed by about a dozen other sports as well as a handful of e-Sports.

A small red number also indicates the number of available live matches currently available for betting.

When we checked the cricket section, we were able to place bets on various live and upcoming matches, including:

• Test Series
• European Cricket Series T10
• County Championship England
• Big Bash League SRL
• IPL

We generally found about two dozen in-play markets and up to 100 markets for IPL matches, though significantly fewer for smaller matches.

Betting markets included:

• Winner
• First Innings bets
• Total Fours/Sixes
• Team with highest score at 1st dismissal
• Total Run Outs
• Total Extras
• Over/Unders
• Which Team Wins Coin Toss

Overall, however, it was quite obvious that this is a smaller sportsbook and that the selection of sports and markets is considerably smaller than elsewhere.

And whilst in-play betting is prominent here, there is no live streaming, which is unsurprising for such a small sportsbook.

That said, odds are competitive and worth checking out. You won’t be at a disadvantage when taking your betting here instead of a bigger sportsbook.

Betting Exchange

Another interesting option is the betting exchange offered by BetBarter. That’s definitely a rarity for smaller betting sites and if you like to propose your own bets or lay the bets other players have proposed, this might be a good option, too. 

The advantage are more competitive odds as well as an interesting selection of betting markets you may not find elsewhere.

We haven’t heard much about the betting exchange here, but if you’re curious, we would recommend checking it out.

Games and more

The casino at BetBarter is also relatively small. There are less than 100 slots available, half of which seem to be provided by Betsoft and the other half by smaller, lesser-known providers. You’ll also find a selection of perhaps three dozen table games, which is not bad.

There are no filter options aside from sorting into slots and table games. Given that the library is quite small, you can quickly scroll through the assorted games and find everything easily, though.

The focus is clearly on the live casino, where you find nearly 70 table games, including Andar Bahar, Dragon Tiger, Teen Patti and Baccarat.

Games are supplied by Evolution Gaming and Ezugi. It’s a solid selection that should entertain fans of the genre.

We couldn’t find any major jackpot games here, however, which is a bit of a let-down.

On the other side, BetBarter does provide a selection of betgames, virtual games and even bingo games, which provides quite a bit of variety and is a welcome addition.

Promotions and bonuses

There doesn’t seem to be a dedicated welcome offer available at BetBarter. New and existing customers will be able to claim a deposit bonus, which is rather unusual.

You are asked to make a single deposit of INR 50,000, which then gives you an additional INR 1,000 on top. You can use your own deposit as you wish. The INR 1,000 in bonus cash must be wagered once on sports bets (exchange and sportsbook included), though there are no minimum odds or other restrictions. The bonus cash must also be wagered once in the casino, though there are also no additional limitations.

You will need to request the bonus via the live chat after you have made your deposit, however.

And it is valid for all deposit methods. It’s somewhat unclear though, whether you’ll be able to claim it once or repeatedly.

Beyond this promotion, BetBarter also listed several other promotions at the time of our review. Since the IPL was underway, they had two prominent IPL tournaments going, where additional prizes were available.

There is also a regular cashback offer each Monday that returns 11% of your losses on all casino games each Monday.

Finally, another sports offer allowed players to win INR 500 when placing pre-match combo bets.

Overall, the selection of promotions and bonuses is interesting and worth checking out. Wagering requirements seem to be fair and you have little to lose by claiming these offers or participating in promotions.

Banking options

BetBarter makes banking relatively easy. They provide a separate link to their Payment Methods, which lists all available deposit and withdrawal methods. These include

Deposit and withdrawal limits are listed and whilst there are transaction limits based on the payment method chosen, BetBarter does not appear to impose daily, weekly or monthly withdrawal limits.

Note that credit card payments are not available at BetBarter, though the offered payment methods should be convenient for most Indian customers regardless.

Also keep in mind that BetBarter will need to verify your ID by the time you have made withdrawal requests of €2,000 or more (or currency equivalent, of course). They may also reserve the right to verify your identity prior to that point.

Customer support at BetBarter is available via live chat, email and various social media channels, including WhatsApp and Telegram.

The customer service team is available 24/7 and you can choose to contact them in English or Hindi, which is great news.

Prior to contacting them, you have always the option to search the FAQ section, which answers some important questions already.

Software

BetBarter’s website feels a little bit old-fashioned. This might be due to the simplicity of the design. We get a main menu with access to the betting exchange, sportsbook, live casino, casino, betgames, virtuals, bingo and promotions.

When you visit a particular section, you must either login to continue (bet exchange, bingo or betgames) or you get to see a secondary menu for the different sports in the sportsbook or games in the casino.

The sportsbook design is unusual, but easy to use and intuitive. 

It’s just all really quite simple, not exactly modern and sometimes a bit slow when loading. One might be inclined to think that the website was developed a decade ago and has not been updated since.

You can also access the BetBarter site via your mobile device and get a very similar experience. The design is almost exactly the same, simply adapted to the smaller screen. The sportsbook takes a moment to load, the live chat is available, and you can access each part of BetBarter exactly the same way as you do on the desktop page.

Dedicated apps for iOS or Android are currently not available.

Summary

In summary, BetBarter is a good betting site for customers in India who want to try out a betting exchange, don’t need a big sportsbook, like a solid live casino and are interested in various other gambling options besides sports betting. 

BetBarter is unlikely to rock your world, but they can provide all the gambling you may need if you are more of a casual gambler or bettor. It is a smaller betting site, and their offer is much more limited than you will see at bigger international sites. But what you can find here is solid and may just be right for you.

Plus, their wagering requirements are so easy that you have nothing to lose claiming any of the offers, which is always a nice addition.
